I bought an old house which had a walk in shower. It had an old shower. Shower Enclosure. I can't find any curtain rods that are curved enough to reach wall to wall. I tried to make one as you can see in photo. It looks terrible. Anyone have advice!!

when people say "BIG BOX STORE" they are refering to places like Home Depot, lowes, and Walmart. The huge stores one can stay in all day. Michaels craft store would also be considered a big box store.

How much of a curve do you need on your curtain rod?

I had a similar problem. I cut a nice heavy decorative curtain rod to fit with the decorative ends cross where the ends will meet . Then put an eye hook in the ceiling. Take decorative heavy wire and wire together the rods at the cross attach wire to the eye hook. There should have been a left over piece from the cut of the rods. Slide that piece down over the wire and attach the remaining wire to the eyehook.

I am traveling right now. But will add the pictures later tonight.

I purchased curtain track, the sort that you expect to see in a hospital room, on the Internet. It is really simple to screw the track to the ceiling, bent to whatever shape that you want it. Use nylon cord to drop from the tiny rings in the track to a height where you can hang the curtain. That is how you get the curtain to suspend at the right height.

I bought a curved rod to make the toilet private. Looks great. Not enough room to make it a "water closet". Shower curtain is shear enough to let light through but non-shear enough so one has privacy.

    Thanks for the info. Olive.

  • Use 3/4 electrical conduit. Electricians bend them in all shapes.

I have done this 3 times and always used Ebay as the source. "Flexible track" will pull up plenty of options. I see someone has a kit for $24.99. A really really good deal.

Thank you so much. I sure will be using that website. If or when I get it finished I'll send you a picture. I'm retired and 73 years old and it takes me a little while longer to get things done. ☺
