How do you get yellowed appliances back to white?

  • There are videos on YouTube and an article on Wiki-how about mixing bleach, baking soda and water. I didn't remember how much of each but we were looking for something like that when my daughter moved into her first house a few years ago.

    depends on what caused the 'yellowing' -- nicotine from cigarette smoke, age of the appliance, exposure to direct sunlight- Clean it thoroughly to remove any residues of smoke, grease, etc -- Rustoleum Kitchen Degreaser 'KRUD CUTTER' is an awesome product!! virtually no odor, no suds, use on cabinets, appliances, etc. Follow directions.

    Have you tried 409? You can get it almost everywhere and if you fall in love with it like I did you can buy a jug at Home Depot or Lowe's. I hope this helps. Do protect your floor with gobs of newspaper.
