What are your suggestions for making a mowing edge/border?

I'm a senior with bad knees so weeding is out (yard is too big), and can't afford brick, concrete or those rubber borders.

Use salt or boiling water. Either of these will kill grass and weeds. Just saturate where you dont want them.
I have a battery operated weed trimmer that has an edger on it. I am a senior and I love this trimmer for lots of things in the yard. Some of the trimmers are under $100.00.
We have done our yard like our senior neighbors yard. She took weed/grass killer round-up for total killing power. and made a 7-10 inch boarder using the adjustable nozzle. Then she put down weed barrier and mulch, then planted flowers. now there is only mowing due to space dirt barrier, easy pessy!
Use a have moon spade and edge all along where you have too. Then its very easy to mow.
