DIY Cupcake Bouquet

Tired of getting mom a bouquet of roses for Mother's Day? Switch it up with a handmade edible sweets bouquet!
Start with a styrofoam ball. You can find these near the floral section at Michaels.
Stick it in a terra cotta pot.
Grab your toothpicks (these are what connect the sweet treats to the ball).
Stick your toothpick into the styrofoam.
Grab your sweets! Of course you can make your own mini cupcakes, but here in busy NYC a ready-made 12 pack from Fairway was the way to go. ;)
Pop your cupcake onto the toothpick. Easy as pie!

Keep adding the toothpicks and cupcakes like that all around the ball. We actually supplemented any blank spots with bits of leftover Easter candy!
Voila! A bouquet sure to cure Mom's sweet tooth. :)

I love it too. And I would love to receive one as a gift. I will be making one of these very soon. Thanks for posting this. What a good idea.
