I used mine as a shoe stand. High heels hook nicely to the rungs.
I immediately saw a shoe stand as well when I looked at your picture.
I was thinking the same question this morning! I was thinking of hanging my scaeves on it!
Use "S" hooks and hang plans from them. With a drain tub at the bottom. Or even hang kitchen utinsild on it>
How about using it for towels, magazines, jewelry, or scarves?
My first thought is to hold magazines., art or craft books, perhaps somehow use in a craft room for storage?
I was thinking small boxes like strawberries come in and tilted just like the DVD do, turn around and put plants in them and place the whole thing on the porch as a vertical plant rack.
Why not put a basket for tomatoes on the bottom, and use the area for climbing tomatoes? I sure would, espec. to save space, and not be on the ground. With the metal, you don't have to worry of the area rotting. Best wishes.
Shoes immediately came to mind, love the scarf idea, s-hooks for jewellry, a kids' bookrack, small plastic bins in a workshop to organize little items...I'd love to see hanging plants and books on it together! :)
you can paint it to match room decor. and use as book shelves. I got and old cd stand and put it in my great grand babies room to hold her little books for when she visits
Yep, at first I thought shoe rack, but then as I kept looking at it I thought it wouldn't take much to make a gentlewoman's valet out of it.
You would get two trays to fit on the top two rungs, and then the next two lower rungs. These would hold earrings, rings, watches, etc. The rest of the rungs would be used for bracelets and necklaces, with small "s" hooks as needed to hang them.
The trays could be lined with felt. Small cup hooks on the sides could hold belts. Scarves can be draped over the rungs also.
So many options when you keep thinking about it! Paint🎨 Stencils🔆🖌 !
I'd paint it to match or compliment your kitchen colors and if it fits, put on your counter against the backslash. Hang utensils and a couple of favie pans from s hooks. If it doesn't fit on your counter then I dunno. See above for other great ideas!
Make fabric pocket shelves. A casing in both sides & wide enough to go from front rod, under lower rod, & then back up to higher back top rod. Match or compliment room decor. Endless uses & whatever is in pocket shelf doesn't fall thru to floor.
I saw a pic online of a wooden one turned into a weaving loom.

If you have kids, it is a great place for books and stuffed animals, for display.
I think almost everything can be re-purposed for the garden, somehow. I like Judy's tomato idea and any climbing plant would work. I have a variety of salvaged items that are now trellis' (bed springs; easel - with chicken wire; wooden frames - with chicken wire; etc.).
If you don't want climbing plants, put lightweight window boxes on each shelf (I would secure them).
The first thing I saw too was a shoe rack!
And then I looked again and saw a craft organizer... Oh and how about a magazine holder... maybe even a kitchen organizer I see a lot of different uses!
Good luck with whatever project you decide on!
I used mine for a quilt rack
Hat Rack ,Fruit Stand,Towel Holder, Drying clothes rack for hosiery or socks and food storage containers rack.
I use one to hold paper back books that a friend gave me--lots of them--but mine had real shelves. I think the shoe storage idea is a great one or a great place if you have a large scarf collection----you will wear them more if you can see them on display. Maybe put some kind of bin on the bottom for some other items like socks or gloves.
This would be ideal to hang your various lids on in the kitchen. Put it against the wall so that the knobs hold them onto the rail. Lids are so awkward to store when put in with the saucepans, and hard to find. I would do this if I had the space.
Use it in the kitchen to hang pot lids on. Very convenient.
Use it for drying your clothes. If you don't have clothes line outside, flip your clothes over it
