What tools do you need for reupholstering?

    1. A rubber mallet

    2. Fabric Scissors

    3. Pliers {the heaviest duty pliers you can find}

    4. Large Flat Screwdriver

    5. Small Flat Screwdriver

    6. Box Knife

    7. Hot Glue Gun

    8. Pneumatic Staple gun {first choice} or a Heavy Duty Staple Gun {second choice}

    9. Hammer

    10. Butter Knife

    I thought , wow--really complete list , until I saw butter knife . I've never used one of those to reupholster something . Now I'm super curious .

    You will also need some of the following:

    1. foam cushions, I like to cut mine from sheets, some camping pads work

    2. Upholstry webbing

    3. Types of fibre padding rolls. Big fabric stores with upholstry section have.

    3. Nail heads

    4. cording if seats have pillow with corded edge, bias fabric to cover cording.

    5. Black cotton for bottom

    6. upholstry tacks

    7. Quilting pins

    8. Upholstry zippers

    9. Buttons if tufting - can be self-covering type or decorative

    10. A really long needle to tuft with. your local fabric or craft store should have. Mine is 6"
