farm equipment a friend had. I have included a few pictures as he built them. I can't decide if I should paint them or just knock off the rust and seal them. I am using them on one side of the Turquoise Island. #Love2Repurpose #recycle

My New Year's Resolution!

This is the stairway leading to our loft bedroom. I decided it would be the last thing done to our house when we began to build, mainly because I could not decide what I wanted to do with ...»
it. Tile, Carpet, Staining, Stenciling...Then life happened as it usually does for all of us as some point. After a few tough years of caring for both our moms in our home and then the inevitable happened, Honey had an event similar to sleep walking and fell to these stairs not hitting till the last few steps and suffered a traumatic brain injury. That was a year ago and we have since moved back up stairs and have installed a gate that the Dr. suggested. Now, it is time to face this monster from the past...(I'm thinking carpet with padding on the floor) lol!! Any ideas? #NewYearsResolution

Hometalk Christmas Party

I truly was blessed with a wonderful evening last night with my dearest friends. It was a time for us to come together and share food, joys, concerns and most important laughter! I ...»
decided to use mom's Christmas quilt for the table and we decorated the Wayfair cloche with two snow bunnies that belonged to Rhonda's mom. Our mothers we lifelong dear friends, so only fitting! We all decided to do mexican food, figured that was as far away from the traditional food we each will be having shortly. We served up Paula Deen's Enchilada Soup, homemade salsa, queso, and guacamole. Dessert was apple bundt cake and chocolate chip cookies, served with coffee in our wonderful Hometalk mugs. Thank you to Wayfair for the cloche and @Miriam and Hometalk for the coffee mugs!
