Do Carrera marble shower floors need to be sealed?

    Yes. Marble is porous and needs a periodic application of sealer. Any shower floor tile should be sealed regularly. You can find sealer at tile and home improvement stores. It is an easy diy. Don't let anyone convince you otherwise. Following the instruction on the container, you either spray or brush it on and let it sit, dry. Open a window or turn on a fan.

    Absolutely. Stone is porous. Even granite absorbs water. The water is not actually the problem. It's dirt, oils, and soap scum that will get into the stone and discolor it if you don't seal it. As Casey said, it's not hard. Most people just don't like having to do it or to remember to do it.

    Yes, it must be sealed. It's very porous. they beauty of the marble will be gone if it isn't sealed.
