DIY Mod Podge Table With Vintage Letters
I updated a little side table with Mod Podge and copies of 100-year-old, hand-written invoices.
I love vintage decor, and I basically made a little side table look like something shabby chi and vintage by painting it white and gluing vintage invoices on the top with Mod Podge.
This is my little side table I painted white and then glued on antique invoices glued the top of it.
I made copies of original invoices that are over 100 years old. I love the handwriting, and they are a piece of history I wanted to preserve.
Here is the tutorial: decide what you want to glue to the table (you can find thousands of free printables online), cut them out, arrange them on the table until you like the look of it.
Apply the first coat of Mod Podge to the top of the table and add your first piece of paper, making sure to avoid bubbles. Cover it with more glue. The glue might change the color of the pages a little bit.
Then start gluing the pieces on one by one. Let the glue try, and then finish the project with one last cover of Mod Podge.
My little mod podge table with Christmas decor - I use it next to our sofa.
I’m glad those 100-year old invoices have been preserved for a bit longer.

Caterina P Jasper on Jan 16, 2014I save advertisements from magazines for collectable plates, toys, sports and video game equipment(such as X-box and play station) When I have enough of one theme I rip the edges for a jagged effect, sometimes burn them a little, and then mod podge them to the tops of dressers tables, chests, pretty much anything that is flat surfaced will do. I go to second hand shops, garage sells etc. (Even take reparable furniture from trash sometimes) Make one of kind and unique gifts. Wallpaper samples also are fun to use.

I actually like it. I’m not a vintage, ancient kind of person, normally. I grew up in a century old house that begged for period antique furniture. So my mother happened to have a creative flair and refinished and reupholstered antique furniture to fill the house. Mom never cut corners. Everything I mean everything was taken apart, horsehair and all, lol and looked beautiful shiny and new, like they were 120 years ago.
So when I say that I liked the fact that you didn’t sand the pretty white table
to shreds, I really, really mean it. 😊 🛋.
