How can I refill swiffer non-reusable bottles?

I hate to throw out the Swiffer bottles when they are empty. It seems like such a waste. Is there anyway to refill them?

I have tried, but I don't see a way to do it. I just use my own spray as I mop.

Boil a pot of water, turn it off. Hold the bottle upside down with the cap in the hot water for about a minute or two. Carefully remove the bottle from the water and simply unscrew the cap. (The heat will loosen the seal). Once you have refilled the bottle screw the lid back on. When it cools it will reseal. I found this solution on another site and it worked for me.

  • I drilled a hole in the bottom {which when turned upside down is the top} then placed a cork in the hole.

Yes, simply drill a hole and use a cork as a stopper. Go on the blog: "The Art of Doing Stuff". She was showing how to do this just about a week ago. Be warned, she is an amazing, very talented young woman who tackles everything and her blog is addictive! :) There's help on anything and everything - she tackles it all and single handedly, too!
