Diy Old Pub Bench

I wanted a bench for the country table I made last year so I decided to try my hand at making one. I found some old 12"x2" lumber in the barn and it just happened to be the right length.
I found a printable on Pinterest, traced it as I had already painted with semi gloss paint.
I had help with cutting the legs and screwing it together. I decided to spray sealer on it and grabbed the first can I found in the garage that said glossy. Well silly me it was glossy black paint and I had painted the right corner of the bench. I WAS NOT going to sand it down and start over. I rough sanded it and said OK. It is supposed to look old anyway, suits me.
The wood for the legs before I start and the beginning of the lettering.
The wood just as I found it in the barn. I still have another piece that I may use for a sofa table.
My finished rustic bench
I'm proud to say I made the tabletop, the centerpiece box, the table runners and the bench. I love Pinterest, can find how to do anything there,
See the mess I made on the right lower corner? Oh well....

It turned out great. It's not a "mess", it's character.
