Easy & Inexpensive Watercolor Effect Mother's Day Bookmarks!

With Mother's Day coming up, you might need a last minute gift and this watercolor effect bookmark is easy, inexpensive and uses Sharpies! It's a great scrapbooking technique too! I used a hummingbird theme, but you can use anything, like flowers, ladybugs, or wine, if you would rather. The technique still applies!
You will need:
Regular copy paper:  http://amzn.to/2pZjCcd

Stamp MOM onto a piece of regular paper.
Stamp MOM onto a piece of regular paper.Don't worry if you accidentally get the edge stamped too. Oops! Nobody will see it!
Stamp little words that describe your mom.
Stamp hummingbirds, or whatever stamp design you decided to go with, all around MOM.
I mean all around.
Tear out Mom. You want a rough edge.
It should look something like this.
Color in one hummingbird, just as a highlight.
Then color a make up sponge, with a Sharpie marker and add rubbing alcohol.
Smudge it onto the middle of the paper.
Do the same with the pink.
Rip a piece of card stock a little bit larger.
Stamp the back with the hummingbirds.
Repeat with the Sharpies and the makeup sponge. Front and back.
Add a ribbon and some beads or charms and clean up the edge, with decorative scissors, if you like.
Now you have beautiful bookmarks for Mother's Day!
