Every spring my house get full of ants. While preparing to make cookies last week I opened up my raisins and they were kind of old and dried up. I threw them outside beside my house under a tree for the squirrels. Just recently painted my basement floor white and when I went to the basement the next day the white floor was scattered with something black. "Ants - dead ants !!" I bet I picked up 1/3 cup of them. All I can think of is that they ate to raisins and it did um in. Raisins are not good for dogs - so perhaps they kill ants too. I have been waiting for the rain to stop here and once it dries out again I am going to put some raisins along my foundation and keep an eye out to see if that is what killed them. I don't know if it was the raisins but there was nothing else going on at the time so I may have stumbled upon something. If you try this please let me know if it did anything. P.S. All the squirrels are fine

Raisins are dried with sulfur. Natural ant spray by Victors works great, mainly mint....makes your house smell very minty....good thing in my book.

Mix 32 oz of water, 1/8 cup of Borax with 1/4 cup of sugar and soak cottonballs in the mixture. Place the cottonballs wherever you are seeing the ants. They will eat it and carry it back to their nest. Kills them off as they can't digest the cotton.

Depends if they are inside or outside, but if they are outside, I have had a lot of success with putting cinnamon around the wall!
