Found a bunch of different styles on Pinterest and I have included two if kinds for you to look at. You do not show what kind of wall heater, there are low ones and bulky ones, so I chose two that hid bulky ones. Hope this gets your own ideas flowing! Show us a picture when you are done!
ADD NOTE: Be sure to read the manufacturer's warning on how close objects can be to the heater unit you have...you don't want pose a fire hazard that you would end up being responsible for.
you can pick up some salvaged wood and build a cover then paint it to compliment your room. If the heater isn't to tall then you can make a bench for extra seating or a tabletop to display photos and other items.
Buy or make a shallow cabinet large enough to have a few extra inches in every direction To avoid the wood from overheating or blocking the heat. Use shutter style doors, and leave open when using the heater.
using heat resistant paint , frame out a screen around the heater and paint up a nice scene
