How do I get rid of the algae growing on my house?

I have algae growing on the north side of my house and garden shed but I hate to use anything that will kill my bushes and flowers surrounding them.

You can use a product called Wet-N-Forget which is safe for your plants.

Algae grows on water, I think you mean mold is growing on your house. Beach will kill the mold. Put on rubber gloves and apply the bleach to the moldy areas with a bleach soaked cloth.
We used to live on a lake and the moisture caused algae on the side of the house. We tried commercial products made for that and they did little. One of them came in a bottle that screwed on to the garden hose. When it didn't work, we used that bottle and filled it will regular household bleach and sprayed the vinyl siding. It not only killed it, it kept it away longer. Regarding the shrubs we wet them down before spraying and then rinsed them after. There was no damage to the shrubs. You might try covering the flowers.
