Question about our Ceramic fountain pump

love my fountain but. We let it run dry once and ruined the the original pump. Husband bought. Replacement with a larger output because t I
wanted more sound. Hooked up larger capacity pump and had to use some waterproof tape to seal the new tubing to the old tubing in the fountain. Diameter of new tubing larger than tubing of former smaller pump. Looked great and sounded wonderful when husband turned it on. Tape is not holding even with use of silicone glue to fill the gap of tube diameter., Any ideas?

Try epoxy. theres a waterproof brand out there!
Is the old tubing a smaller diameter? If so, it is likely a pressure problem. What about trying a metal ring clip, screwed shut tight and then apply the silicon?
