Has anyone used mod podge for sticking a fabric to a wooden chair?

in the process of refurbishing some wooden old chairs, and wondered if mod podge'ing a fabric is a viable idea!?

This is a great idea! It totally works.
Yes, and it works well. But I would use a thinner fabric. Put the modge podge on first, then the fabric. The another coat over the top. It should absorb and seal well!
