Read this online recently & am totally going to try it myself as I'm terrified of spiders.

Use Vinegar. White vinegar has about five trillion uses around the house(look it up!), and repelling spiders is one of them! Repelling spiders with vinegar is much like repelling them with peppermint oil, in that you fill a spray bottle with vinegar and water, and spray all the cracks and crevices around your home.

I have used this method for years and it works great for us.....Get a one gallon garden sprayer jug and add 3 Tb lemongrass oil to it. Fill with water, and spray around your house foundation, windows, patios, porches, etc. It is okay to spray right on the brick or siding, etc. I do this twice a year and it helps tremendously. Also be sure to spray around your garage...and you can even remove any indoor vent covers and spray a small bit right into your floor/ceiling vents to discourage them from getting in that way.
