Is there a homemade remedy to help keep ants at bay?

my daughter is having problems with ants getting under her sink and in on of her boys room she needs help thanks

    Ground cinnamon,essential oils peppermint,lavender,etc,placed through out,and outside apply food grade diatomaceous earth.

    I used black pepper once if your going organic but I agree with cinnamon & lavender is supposed to work for spiders so why not ants

      Hi: I lived in Salem for 25 years. Nice to see an old neighbor!! Did you know why spearmint works on spiders? They smell with their feet. Go figure.

    Besides those wonderful ideas. We have used red pepper sauce. It did work for us and I love spiders they take care of flying insect. So putting it on the threshold kept ants out and didn't harm a single game one.

    Love salem.....hello neighbor. Spearmint....weird didn't know that. I bought those sensors that plug into your outlets for spiders....works great.
