Othro makes an ivy killing product that you can find at your local Walmart.

The only safe way is to continue cutting the ivy off at the ground when you see it sprouting. It will eventually lose its energy to grow and die off on its own. Any other toxic killer will also kill your plants or tree - and I would not suggest using it.

Wouldn't recommend chemicals. Digging out what you can and pulling or cutting new shoots is best and won't harm pets or children.

Thanks for the input. I am also highly allergic so I was hoping for a miracle.

Oh no! Can someone help you by doing it for you? Also, maybe then it *would* be better to try chemicals, since it's hard for you to dig it out due to the allergy.
