Can I store yarn, some of it wool in plastic ziploc large storage bag?

I don't know if I'm invit moths buy storing in plastic.

  • actually, storing in plastic is recommended to deter moths. I got this from a knitting site:

    Probably the best thing you can do to prevent moths from getting to your wool is storing it in airtight containers. Plastic storage boxes or even plastic freezer storage bags are a wonderful way to store unused yarn, and they make it easy for you to keep like yarns together and see what you have at a glance.

    You sure can! Just pop in a dryer sheet with it. Have never had a moth stay around fabric softener!

    Yes you can - to avoid the 'stale' smell, add a small piece of cedar. Bugs don't like it, and it smells so nice when working with the yarn.

    Yes you can. As long as it fully sealed, your yarn will be safe.

    Thank you so much all of you for the responses. Now the one thing I'm concerned about is I bought those Ziploc extra large bags, but they have vents in them. What about the ones that you suck out the air with a vacuum
