You'll want to clean the paneling first, then apply a coat of primer before applying your paint. Depending on the color your choose you might want to have the primer tinted to match. Use a brush to get into the areas between the boards and then use a roller to paint the flat surfaces.

I don't know how expensive it would be but the new rage is "Chalk Paint". With this particular type of paint it is supposed to go quite far and from what I understand you don't have to use any kind of primer or anything - you can just start painting. You might look into it more. I am also "blessed" with a double wide mobile with all real wood paneling which I feel a little guilty about painting but I'm going to break down and paint mine too. I will be checking out the Chalk Paint to see if the colors are something I would like and if it is not going to cost a lot more than using regular paint. I absolutely do not want to have to sand down all my walls - that's way too much work with as much as I have. If you can just open chalk paint and go right to work painting with good coverage and the paint goes pretty far then that's the route I will be going.
