What is the best caulk to use to seal exposed cracks in cement blocks?

    They make a caulk for this problem, check Lowes or a Concrete Company

    Home Depot and Menards cells cement caulk. Some brands are NOT paintable, and some ARE. If your ever planning on painting the cement blocks, or they are now painted, make sure to read on the tube of caulk that it is paintable. I bought the paintable type, as my basement is painted. When you buy the cement caulk, the tube will feel thick, but not hard as a rock... if it is real hard, it won't come out when put in a caulk gun.

    I agree with Mary! If the caulk won't come out you can microwave it for 30 seconds. That will soften it up.
