Wet cleaning wipes are precious when it comes to cleaning surfaces and disinfecting. Ever since I discovered them and their cleaning power, I was reborn! However, they are expensive, toxic and harsh on the skin. Besides, every housewife with a passion for DIY, would like to know how to make them herself, just for the sake of DIY so here I am, trying my best. Keep in mind in the link below, there is a good video explaining things.
Now for the container you could use:
Old mason jar, coffee cannister, empty wet wipes container - no need to buy two, right? If you have a food container you want to repurpose, you can always drill a hole on top.
Cleaning Liquid - You can try these recipes, or use your favourite one.
Recipes:
General Surface Cleaning
1 1/2 cups white vinegar
1 1/2 cups water
Disinfectant Cleaning
1/4 to 1/2 cup pine cleaning solution such as Pine-Sol brand
2 1/2 to 2 3/4 cup water
Window and Glass Cleaning
1/2 cup rubbing (isopropyl) alcohol;
2 1/2 cups water;
1 tablespoon white vinegar;
Materials needed.
How it should look.

    I just Add Water to my dried out wipes.

  • Cheap vodka or rubbing alcohol is what I typically use. Where my ex husband used to work, they had emergency supplies to take care of the entire building. First aid, food, etc. When the suggested "expiration date" rolled around, the building just throws them away and purchases new stock. Not under my ex hubby's watch. He had the engineering crew, janitorial staff and admin staff take whatever they wanted first, then donated the rest to the local food bank as if used promptly is still safe to consume and / or use. I have enough wipes to last me the rest of my life.
