Boho Chic Basket Makeover

4 Materials
With dyed boho baskets becoming all the rage, you can save money and create the look for yourself! This boho chic basket makeover is simple to make and can give your home that global boho style!
How fun and colorful is this vignette! Within 10 minutes, you can have a boho basket in your home. Here is how!
To create my boho basket, I used UltraDye paints by Folkart. These paints are awesome on woven and unfinished wood. The dye just seeps right into the material to create a finish that's right on trend with global boho style.
I used two shades of paint to create a blended look. I painted the teal around all around the bottom. Then painted on the magenta shade ontop of the teal. I allowed my paint brush to overlap the teal just slightly to create a purple shade in the middle of my two layers. This ombre effect gives the basket more character!
Add some vibrant flowers to your basket and you're ready to style in your home. Be sure to line the inside of your basket with plastic if you're using real flowers. (*Tip I used gallon sized plastic zip bags to line the basket).
This boho basket with flowers makes a great gift. You can also use your basket in your entryway to collect mail, as a vanity organizer in the bathroom, or use on your mantel like I did! Check out more DIY global boho decor projects on my blog here. Subscribe to get freebies and my newsletter here.
