Tip: Purslane = weeds?

I have just discovered this "weed" is on of the Best greens to eat!! I've been pulling this out for years thing is was just tat, "a weed" But it has SO MANY great things going for it I am so amazed! Next time I pull it out, maybe I'll just cut it ,, It's going in my salad!!!!πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€

    Great! There are actually several weeds that are edible! Besides purslane, dandelions are one of the best weeds in the yard! You can eat the flowers in salads, etc, use the leaves for salads or to make a tea. Now weeding doesn't seem as bad as it used to be! LOL

      My mother-in-law would cook a big pot of dandelion greens just as she did with collards or mustard greens. My grandma made Dandelion wine.

    Looked up a photo of this & sure enough, it's one that I've been pulling out for years! Had no idea you can eat it. I just read that purslane seeds can stay viable in the soil for 40 YEARS!! You may find that either depressing or exciting. ;)
