Dish soap+salt+water... Mix into a spray bottle, works great
Here you go!
Be careful using salt on your land. The problem with weeds is that the wind picks up seeds and blows them around all the time so it is an endless battle. I remember after a tornado hit our area, I saw plants I had never seen before coming up in my yard...the tornado had dumped all sorts of stuff around.
Fighting weeds can be very expensive just to buy the products to fight them. One good thing is they now make environmentally friendly products. Then once you have some control over them, use a "pre-emergence" regularly...this too is expensive if you require a large quantity.
Also, use a weed-eater to cut down weeds in unwanted places before they can germinate...like around the base of shrubs.
For your yard...define an area and delineate it with shrubs...something like gardenia bushes which are easy to root and keep adding to your "green fence" around your yard...and they require almost no care.
