I love transforming boxed store furniture! Some people toss furniture like this when their decor changes. A piece doesn't have to be solid wood or curvy and ornate to paint! Paint transformations always amaze me but for some reason, the boxed store flips are most rewarding! It reminds me, it's not about how you start, it's about how you finish! Painted with Websters Chalk Paint Powder and a custom mixed red by Benjamin Moore. Distressed and accented with Modern Masters Metallic Paint.
Before...that "W" on the top shelf inspired the finish!

Thanks @Interior Frugalista @ZOYA, and @Sue! BTW, Marie, I didn't use dark wax on this piece. I used a black glaze to deepen the red a little but no wax :)
