Can I use contact paper on untreated wood?

    You can, but it will go on as smooth as the wood is. So if your wood is really bumpy, your contact paper will be that bumpy too when you press it on. It might bubble and not have as good of contact.

    You can put on untreated wood and it will probably be fine. However, when you peel it off it may leave a sticky residue and have to be lightly sanded before being stained or treated.
