Maintenance ? As in sealing the grout ? Yes, clean regularly of course , but seal it every 6 to 12 months depending on the recommendation of the seal you purchase at the hardware /home improvement store.
Assuming your tile border is made of ceramic or porcelain tile, you shouldn't need to worry about much maintenance. Just clean it regularly (when you clean your tub) using a non-abrasive cleanser. Rinse well and it should be good to go.
Seal your edge between the tub and tile with silicone if it starts to peel or have holes. Make sure your grout stays in good shape or you might need to apply more.
The grout needs a coating put on it every year, I do know that!
