Plant a nice mix of plants that are recommended for your area and planting zone. I recommend some evergreen shrubs to insure year-round greenery....and then mix in some perennial flowers and annuals to give it color. Try planting some lower maintenance perennials such as sedums,Black eyed susans,Salvias,Cone Flowers.Mix in some colorful annuals .For easier maintenance as well plant varieties that do not require dead heading such as million bells.
