I have used the store bought Miracle-Gro for years and have had great results. With a sale price that makes it even better, I would not even try to make my own.
Miracle-Gro's formula for the nutrients it provides is 24-8-16 (otherwise known as the N=P-K). 24 Nitrogen (N), 8-Phosphorous (P), and 16- Potash (Potassium ((K))). In order to come up with the exact duplicates you would need the individual nutrients and mix with a 3 part N, 1 part P and 2 part K. Hard to do that, but you could also start with any fertilizer and adjust it by adding nutrients to it. Throw in a little Epson Salt for the Magnesium Sulfate content.

Use food scrap s ,add water and 2 teaspoons of Epson salt let set for approximately 1 day. 0our liquid around base of plants.
