Burrs are caused by winds, and weeds from other lawns and fields. You may want to rake the lawn, and in the fall, apply a weed and feed, that is available at hardware stores. These can also be carried by birds or animals. Try to keep all the grass cut short, around your home, also. Some neighbors are great, in cutting their grass, and areas. Then . . there are others.
