Martha Stewart had a show about this very thing and I loved it. When done it looked like leather and was easy to do! Make sure you have no print and you wad it up to get that aged look in patch work. Flattened out and wall paper glue! I would think you could go to her site and pull it out of archives. I really liked it but I'm a Guy so you may find it a bit manly!!

I have seen several posts on it on google, HGTV, and pinterst just to name a few. They look wonderful. And in end on wall you don't have to go for a dark leather look, you can used tinted stains (maybe watered down craft paint) in any color that works for your decor. Leathers are dyed all colors... I Just as long as you get the leather texture (I would try out on posterboard if going to use colors or craft paint and make sure it is look you want first before putting on the wall). I have even seen where they stained a lighter color first and then dry brushed stain or antiquing medium so it just caught the crinkles and texture left from doing the faux leather treatment was beautiful.

Thanks, some great ideas. I am thinking of doing my craft room in this. When I decide all factors and get started I'll post pics.

Different styles of paper faux leather for walls.. If you wanted to go with a cream or white base might could use white craft paper, or even manilla construction paper. Again would test on sample board. As you can see how you crumple and twist, wring, and tear paper, and how much you smooth paper as applying has different effects and different leather textures.. After crumpling paper etc. you might could give a tooled effect by embossing paper lightly. Can't wait to see what you do.

That's what I was thinking, using white craft paper. Thank you
