I rent and have ceramic tiles in the bathroom...can I paint them?

They are as old as the building, is it possible to paint over them without the paint bubbling and peeling off?

No, do your best to clean it.

There are special paint kits for painting ceramic tiles. Since you rent make sure you get permission from your landlord IN WRITING for anything you want to do. I also would not do anything permanent that would benefit the owner/landlord.

I own a few rentals. I have had good tenants and bad tenants. I have accommodated many tenants and have taken a few to court.

Thanks for your help William, and I would definitely discus with the landlord first. I just read or saw on one of the HGTV home repair shows I think(can't remember which, should have wrote it down) but wanted to see if there were any people out here that may have had success doing it, for thoughts and opinions, so thanks again!

I painted my bathroom tiles years ago. Use Kilz primer then paint the color of your choice. If you want to have grout lines, use a paint pen to make them white after you paint.

Kilz is the best!! I can't wait to see how it comes out!
