I had put down plywood sheets to go from ramp to driveway, squirrels started digging holes in it.
My stepmom got some roof paper that was really rocky and they tacked it down it lasted for years. Think outside the box for your needs. I've done that for years.
Cement pavers? Are you going up a ramp? Then I would also install no skid strips for safety reasons.
And a hand rail, and edging on ramp to prevent sliding off edge.
I think cement pavers would be a good option. They are weather proof, and will stand up to heavy traffic.
