How to deal with a 3/4" difference between 2 floors we're layering

We are laying a vinyl plank floor buttedup to ceramic, which we want-We have about 3/4 " difference in the level of the two floors we are laying vinyl planks over. What is the best way to handle ''tis problem?

    Check the website for your local DIY home store. Look in flooring for something called 'transition strips'. These are pieces that cross thresholds and join different surfaces and heights. Buy the best you can afford and install as instructed.

    Which floor is lower? The ceramic floor or the one you will be laying the vinyl planks on? You can use transition molding where the floors come together, but a 3/4" height difference is a little much to transition. If the floor your laying the vinyl planks on is lower then the ceramic floor build the floor up by laying down some 1/2" or 5/8" plywood over it.
