I came across a couple of wooden crates being thrown out.

What I started with...

Step 1: Sand and Paint... Let dry.... Polyurethane... Let dry....

I actually just used the super cheap $2.00 blue spray paint from Wal-Mart.

Step 2: Measure and cut chicken wire to size...

This is how I measure things... :)

Step 3: I cut squares out of each corner.

When pushing the wire into the crate, the edges of the cut squares will meet and then you can twist the chicken wire ends to attach each side to each other.

Step 4: Staple in place.

Step 5: I finished the short sides of my crate by bending the tips of the wire over the wooden slats.
