Suggestions for a low maintenance piece of garden?

There are many varieteties of sedum, all beautiful. I would research which ones would do best in your area and either purchase locally or on line. They are basically no maintenance groundcover. I talked my girlfriend in NC to buy a flat of it off of QVC a few years back, they shipped and sent what works in your zone using your zip code here in the US and at the appropriate planting time. That was several years ago and she tucked it in here and there and another area now looks like a beautiful carpet. Any little bit she trims off, she just puts in another location and nature does the rest. I have some too, but her property is much bigger. Great if you have kids or dogs, they can stomp on it with no problem. Only 2 to 3 inches high at most. No raking needed and not invasivee, trim only if you want to, but not necessary.
