    I don't have flowers around my in the ground pool. My husband likes mowing and makin' it easy........However, I have Palms, Pampas Grass and Banana trees around mine. It gives it that Tropical look. It works for us........

    Water from the pool can kill plants and trees...neighbours kids jumping in their pool splashing water killed the sides of my 40ft norfolk pine trees...the splashing will kill flowers too....

    I'm guessing if you have a pool that you live in a warm area. I would highly recommend growing some Mandevilla. They add height to the pool area, grow fast, bloom all summer and love heat and humidity. They don't require much maintainance. They also are available in many colors. Here's a picture of ours from our front entryway which receives full sun. We planted it on our a trellis we manufacture so the Mandevilla would grow wide and create more privacy.
