Patriotic Stars and Stripes Pom Pom Banner

This cute Stars and Stripes Pom Pom Banner is perfect to decorate your mantel or patio for the summer holidays! It's easy to make in a day too!
We started with 6 wooden stars we picked up at Hobby Lobby. They were yellow, so I spray painted them white. After they dried, I randomly placed star stickers on three of them. The other three, we used painters tape to tape off various size stripes.
The stars with the stickers were spray painted in navy blue and allowed to dry.
The stars with the painters tape were painted with red craft paint and allowed to dry.
After they were fully dried, I removed the star stickers and the painters tape. and wa la! Stars and stripes!
I made red, white and blue pom poms with yarn. I ended up only using the red and white pom poms for my banner.
I strung red and white pom poms onto red and white bakers twine, then glued the stars to the bakers twine between the pom poms using hot melt glue.
Looks fabulous hanging on the mantel!
