Groundcover suggestions - fast growing for North Georgia

Any recommendations for a fast growing, inexpensive ground cover plant that grows fast and does not require any maintenance? We have a lake home in North Georgia and the area leading to the lake has lots of weeds, so we are looking to plant something that can takeover and choke the weeds out, and look nice too! Thanks in advance for your great ideas!

Try either Ice Plant or Alyssum.

I have two suggestions. Lily of the Valley will cover an area pretty quickly, and it smells heavenly. Also, creeping phlox will also cover an area like a thick rug, and it only grows about 6" high. It comes in purple, pale pink, dark pink and white flowers. Each year it spreads more.
