We are looking to restore the white epoxy flooring in our new loft. Can it be cleaned? Recovered? Resealed? We are not very familiar with Epoxy coatings. It has ''yellowed'' in some spots over time due to the sunlight coming in to the rooms. Any business that do this in the Atlanta are please feel free to respond and send me your information!

That is most likely a terrazzo floor, although with out seeing it I can't tell for sure. The surface is ground and polished then sealed. Depending on the thickness of that flooring it can be reground and repolished. I would check with someone that polishes marble flooring for residential customers as all the folks I know of only do commercial jobs. The polishing method is the same for marble or terrazzo or any other hard stone type surface be it synthetic or natural.

Paul, it is actually cement under the epoxy. Can it be safely ground off the original cement and then have the cement sealed?

Ana, you should be able to install new epoxy over the existing if it still has a good bond to the concrete. You could also grind it off and seal the concrete or apply new epoxy if removing it reveals something you don't like.
