How do I plant tomatoes in gunny sacks?

    I would think you could plant just like in any container except you might need stakes around the sack to give it some support. I don't know how the material will stand up to the water. It might last all season or it could rot.

      Tow sacks are what we call them in Texas. Made of burlap. Hardware/farm stores usually have them for sale.

    I put mine on a pallet and filled with planter mix you may need to staple stakes [thin] on the outside edges to hold up the sides and don't forget to add bone meal and calcium when you plant install tomato cage and Yahoo tomatoes. grinding up your egg shell and put in jar and you are set for calcium
