What is the correct lamp for an office desk?

I have a large U shaped desk and I struggle to find just the right lamp

Why not get one with a flexible neck that you can bend to point at whatever area you are working on at the moment ? Or get two floor lamps and place them strategically to light the entire desk area.

  This is what I have and it works great, but you might want more than one. If you want something a little less industrial do an internet search for 'gooseneck lamps' you'll find a wide array of them.
