Camera Purchase

I purchased this Smith Victor box Kit to take more professional pictures of my products. Does anyone have advice on an inexpensive camera that will take quality pictures?

  • Do you have a smart phone? Samsung Galaxy III and IV take some great photos. So do a lot of other smart phones with 8 or more megapixels. I have even had dimensional shots that I have taken with my Samsung. You want a camera with at least 8 megapixels and higher for better quality pics. Hope this helps.

Thank you so much for your response. Yes, I have a Samsung Galaxy III. I hadn't thought of using it for product shots. But you are right, it does take some great pictures.

you can get good pics with almost any "point & shoot". The key is to use a tripod in your setup to hold the camera.

I use a Nikon point and shoot, it works great and was quite inexpensive.

The light box is the key, as there are no shadows. I get good photos with just a point-and-shoot camera in front of the window for light.
