I have three compost bins they are all different and I alternate between them, sometimes when one is empty I will fill from other bin. I also have a wormery which is great for Kitchen waste, vegetable peeling and egg shells. Sometime I put in some newspaper . It really is good compost.

I have recently moved a more shaded lot and I have a gazillion acorns and hickory nuts. Can I throw those in the compost bin? How do oak leaves and hickory leaves do as far as composting goes?
