Color in a Closet

I know closets are traditionally white (or another neutral hue) but what do you think about color in a closet? Is it a fun pop of color or a no-no?
Read it on The Rehomesteaders' Blog: http://therehomesteaders.blogspot.com/2014/01/peek-boo-color.html
I happen to love a fun pop of color behind a closet door.

I love a pop of color in a closet. I've done closets in a couple shades darker than the room color. My daughters room was a light purple and her closet was about 4 shades darker. I've even wallpapered closets in a paper that coordinated with drapes and comforters. It's a fun and hidden pop for the owners. This is especially nice if you have a huge walk in closet. It's like having your own luxurious dressing room. If you have room add a cool bench or chair.
