What's the best way to up-cycle two old metal lockers for storage?

My plan is to "whitewash" two old metal lockers to use for storage on either side of the commode in a bathroom.

Spray paint them with Rustoleum in whatever color suits your fancy. If you lay them on their side, you could add wheels and a cushion and viola! You have a great mud room seat with storage for the shoes/boots!
