Red, White & Blue Burlap Wreath

I love making new wreaths for my home's front door each season. I often work with burlap, because it it inexpensive and versatile. I wanted to make a wreath for Memorial Day and the Fourth of July, so I decided to make an easy red, white and blue burlap bubble wreath.
All I needed for my wreath was red, white and blue burlap and a wire wreath form. Burlap ribbon is ideal for this project. I couldn't find navy blue burlap ribbon, so instead I made my own navy blue burlap ribbon by cutting burlap into long, 2-inch wide strips.
To make my wreath, I simply tied on loose knots of burlap onto the wire wreath frame to make my burlap "bubbles" for the wreath.
I slid the knots close together on the frame to create each section of color. I started out with blue, and then alternated sections of red and white. This wreath took me about 30 minutes to make. I love how it looks on my home's red door!
